Both provide important information, although 2-6 hours after your last meal provides a more realistic assessment of your blood in day to day life. Stay hydrated and take any prescribed medications as directed. If you are supplementing hormones, we recommend taking them 2 hours prior to having your blood drawn to capture peak blood hormone levels in your blood.
